Review Doll -Softcover Volume 5 (Doll) / TokyoPop:List 24: Plants. Hazuki is working as a maid for a rich but mean man, Mr. Okuda. Her mother is ill, and so she has to keep the job that gives lots of money and to pay for medical expense. Okuda owns three dolls, which only stand up in a planter and do nothing. One night when Okuda sneaks into her room, Hazuki pushes him away and he accidentally hits his head. He becomes brain damaged and bedridden. Hazuki finds out that Okuda is actually her father and has to take care of him for the rest of his life even though her mother is dead and she can be free. List 25: Unison. Seiji is a young and talented pianist. [+]
His secret is that he has dual personalities, and his doll is hired to keep eye on him. When Seiji feels hot on his left hand, his evil personality tries to come out and he has to soak his left hand in water to calm down. He finally realizes why he's gotten a problem. His mother was very sweet but strict to make him an excellent pianist. She admired his right hand and blamed his left hand not to make him progress in piano lessons. Seiji tries to accept mother's strict attitude and his poor left hand so that he can maintain one good personality. List 26: Touko. Both Wataru and Shu have loved Touko deeply since they were children. Wataru is good at engineering whereas Shu is a talented sculptor. While all of them were in high school, Touko got a fire accident and burned her face really bad. She disappeared from Wataru and Shu since then. Later on, Wataru joins SG Corporation. He's created a perfect doll that looks just like Touko so that he can be with her all the time. He feels so jealous when he sees a statue of Touko carved by Shu. It captures Touko's beautiful smiling face. Sadly, Wataru can't remember her face and his doll doesn't have a face. List 27: Chocolat. At some small village in a country, residents suffer landfill from cities. They are all elderly and are too old to oppose the action of wastes to be thrown out in their neighborhood. One old lady finds a maid doll named Chocolat in trash. Chocolat starts helping old people and they begin to attach to her like their child. Investigators from SG Corporation visit the village to collect the doll, but looking at the village people wanting the doll to stay, they decide to leave the doll for them. List 28: Rinna. The remodeler keeps a brand whenever he completes remodeling a doll. He's doing this job to take revenge on his father, SG Corporation president, who treated him like a doll. Remodeler's fellow doll sees a maid doll just like Veronica, his sexaroid partner, at a train station. Her name is actually Rinna and everyday she waits for her owner to come home. Rinna and he become friends. However, after her owner committed a suicide, Rinna is taken by the SG Corporation collectors to be scrapped. Later on, these two guys will put the company in a difficult situation.
