Review Le Conseil en Recherche de Dirigeants en France & en Europe / Top Executive Search Survey - Division of B & ASSOC.:La présente étude/Guide, tout comme les deux précédentes réalisées en octobre 1998 puis en juillet 2000, se veut être tout d'abord un outil pour les Dirigeants ou leurs conseils (DRH, Conseil d'Administration, etc. ), afin de se faire une opinion sur le prestataire susceptible de répondre le mieux à leurs attentes, dans le cadre soit d'un simple contrat de recherche pour certains clients, ou, pour d'autres, l'occasion de faire le choix d'un véritable partenariat avec leur cabinet conseil. L'étude est constituée de deux volets; le premier traite exclusivement de ce qui se passe en France fin 2001 et au printemps 2002 et se présente en plusieurs parties: la première d'entre elles, qui dans nos précédentes éditions était consacrée à deux enquêtes, l'une auprès des entreprises d'une part et l'autre auprès de cabinets d'Executive Search d'autre part, a été allégée cette année en supprimant de nombreux tableaux et graphiques afin de ne pas alourdir l'ouvrage et pour renforcer notre étude et notre action sur les cabinets eux-mêmes. La seconde partie de l'étude présente sommairement la profession, son histoire, les organisations professionnelles françaises et américaines, leur code d'éthique, leur déontologie. Entre le premier volet France et le volet Europe, nous avons voulu, cette année encore, introduire volontairement une touche de fantaisie en consacrant quelques pages à ce que nous qualifierons non pas de " jeunes espoirs " mais plutôt de " révélations tardives ", ceci à prendre dans un sens large ; pour l'un d'entre eux, c'est un virage à 180º et un nouveau défi dans un monde presque inconnu, et pour l'autre plus senior c'est peut être là une nouvelle reconnaissance d'une vie consacrée presque exclusivement aux arts. Deux artistes très différents dans leur conception, dans leur communication visuelle, dans leurs attentes, qui, chacun à leur manière, nous amènent à découvrir les paysages tant intérieur qu'extérieur de nos vies, et ce à travers leur peinture qui peut ne pas plaire mais ne peut laisser indifférent. Le second volet est consacré à l'Executive Search en Europe avec une approche de type annuaire et se présente en deux parties; la première est consacrée aux grands réseaux internationaux (nous en avons sélectionné 28) qui nous ont semblé devoir figurer ici et qui ont pour la très grande majorité un Bureau en France; la deuxième partie de ce volet sur l'Europe présente les cabinets par pays, pour certains parfois de manière un peu sommaire, l'information requise ayant été dans certains cas fournie de façon succincte ou pas du tout. Le volet Europe, en ce qui concerne la partie Réseaux et les fiches nominatives des Cabinets classées par pays, est rédigé presque exclusivement en anglais dans les deux versions, ceci ne devant pas à notre avis, constituer de frein majeur à la compréhension de l'information pour nos lecteurs non anglicistes. Cette année nous avons agrandi l'Europe de la Chasse de Têtes en y faisant figurer la Russie. Ecart de conduite, centre d'intérêt personnel ou souhait de faire partager au lecteur Dirigeant ma soif de nouvelles découvertes, même si celles-ci sont dans le présent ouvrage un peu étrangères au métier de la Search, un court chapitre a été rédigé sur le Canada, où je séjourne à présent 2/3 de mon temps depuis février 2001. [+]La présente étude est éditée simultanément et séparément en français et en anglais. La raison en est simple; d'une part le sujet traité concerne bien les cabinets d'approche directe en France en l'an 2002, nombre de Dirigeants français lisent ou comprennent plus ou moins couramment la langue de Shakespeare, d'autre part l'activité est encore très marquée par les anglo-saxons à travers notamment les grands cabinets américains à l'exception de quelques uns dont le suisse Egon Zehnder et l'autrichien H. Neumann International pour ne pas les nommer. La dernière particularité de cette étude est la volonté de son auteur de ne la commercialiser que par correspondance et par le biais d'Internet, et d'éviter ainsi les grands réseaux classiques, au demeurant fort efficaces, mais dont la cible privilégiée est le grand public, les mass media comme disent les hommes de marketing. Notre cible, quant à nous, est en effet volontairement sélective, élitiste, dans la mesure où cet ouvrage est destiné, en premier lieu, aux Dirigeants et décideurs français & anglo-saxons.
