Review The Oecd Input-Output Database: LA Base De Donnees Entrees-Sorties De L'Ocde / Organization for Economic:Despite the importance of input-output statistics, internationally comparable input-output tables for OECD countries were lacking until now. This publication seeks to fill this gap and provides a new tool for economic analysis of growth, structural change, productivity, competitiveness, and employment at both the sectoral and macroeconomic levels. The data are provided in both current and constant prices and cover ten OECD countries: Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and the United States for several time points from 1970-1990. This invaluable empirical tool for economic research and structural analysis is unique in several respects: 1) it uses a common industrial classification (ISIC, Rev. 2, 36 sectors) which allows the distinction of high-technology, trade-oriented industries such as pharmaceuticals, computers, communications equipment, automobiles, and aircraft. 2) the distinction of transaction flows of goods and services between those that are domesticaly produced and those that are imported. 3) the inclusion of consistent capital investment flow matrices. It also highlights inter-industrial relationships among sectors, covering not only manufacturing but also the services sector, and can be used in conjunction with other OECD databases including the STAN database, and the ANBERD database.

Review Econometric Analysis of Count Data / Springer:The book provides graduate students and researchers with an up-to-date survey of statistical and econometric techniques for the analysis of count data, with a focus on conditional distribution models. Proper count data probability models allow for rich inferences, both with respect to the stochastic count process that generated the data, and with respect to predicting the distribution of outcomes. The book starts with a presentation of the benchmark Poisson regression model. Alternative models address unobserved heterogeneity, state dependence, selectivity, endogeneity, underreporting, and clustered sampling. Testing and estimation is discussed from frequentist and Bayesian perspectives. Finally, applications are reviewed in fields such as economics, marketing, sociology, demography, and health sciences. The fourth edition contains several new sections, for example on nonnested hurdle models, quantile regression and on software. Many other sections have been entirely rewritten and extended.
