It reproduces over 1600 tickets from international airlines to intracity buses collected by the Swedish designer and architect Carouschka Strejffert which together present a portrait of contemporary migration: of people across borders, and of commuters across town, while at the same time celebrating the graphic design of travel. Remarkably designed in a large-format with French folds, this book is printed beautifully, accurately conveying the feel and texture of each ticket. "Carouschka's Ticket" is a singular project by a unique artist that speaks to the overwhelming prevelance of travel in our world, and the signifying power of graphic design in contemporary culture. 1600 color. 8. 7 x 13. 4 in. Carouschka's Tickets is at once a museum of objects, a record of movement, a catalog of graphic form and typography, and a concentrated experience of travel.
